Set up one searchable collection first
This lesson covers Jetboost search and filtering for a Webflow CMS list. Jetboost's setup guide starts with choosing the Collection for a search booster.
- Add a Collection List with a title, category, and link for each item.
- Create a search booster in Jetboost and choose the matching Collection.
- Follow its generated instructions for the script, search input, and list classes.
- Add one category filter after search works.
- Publish to staging and search for a known title.
Test partial terms, no matches, clearing the search, and search combined with a category. Add an empty-state message that explains how to reset the filters. Check keyboard access and the mobile layout before using the filters on a public page.
Finsweet Attributes provides another filtering approach. Use its current documentation; the older Attributes v1 guide is marked legacy. The Finsweet filtering article explains a different approach to the same task. Choose one system for the list so two scripts do not compete over its state.
