Zapier Transfers: How To Bulk Automate In Zapier
Plan a limited Airtable-to-Sheets transfer with source IDs, field mapping, matching counts, and controlled retries.

ZapierThe original tutorial shows Zapier Transfer moving Airtable records into Google Sheets. Treat its screens as a historical demonstration.
Current Zapier documentation describes transferring spreadsheet data through Zapier Tables and a connected Zap.
Plan the source and destination
I used Airtable as the source and Google Sheets as the destination. Keep that same mapping discipline with today’s transfer method.
Create destination columns for Source Record ID, Name, and any other fields you need. Preserve the Airtable record ID.
Decide how the destination handles a record already transferred. Find by source ID and update or skip it.
Test five selected records
Export five non-sensitive test records to CSV. Import them into a test Zapier table using the documented spreadsheet workflow.
Connect a Zap that writes to a test spreadsheet. Map each source field to its destination column.
Review the selected records before starting the transfer. Disable messages, payment actions, and unrelated steps.
Check that five selected source records produce five destination rows. Compare each source ID, date, and empty field.
Run those records again. Your matching rule should produce five rows, rather than ten.
These are expected checks, not reported results from a live transfer. Stop if IDs disappear or counts disagree.
Transfer in controlled batches
Record the batch IDs, successful rows, skipped rows, and failures. Retry only the failed or unresolved source IDs.
A partially completed transfer needs reconciliation before another full run. Preserve the original export until the destination checks pass.
For a different destination, see bulk Webflow CMS updates.
