Match the tool to the purchase
For a small service pilot, start with a Payment Link and manual delivery after verified payment. For membership access, test signup, paid access, cancellation, and failed renewal separately. For independent sellers, plan marketplace payments with Stripe before building checkout. A normal payment into your own Stripe account does not automatically distribute money to sellers.
Test the full path
Use test mode or a sandbox before taking money. Confirm the correct item, currency, and recurring terms. Check payment confirmation at the provider. Test the delivery action and prevent repeat events from delivering twice. Stripe's fulfillment guide explains why a return page is insufficient proof.
